After studying Psychology, Design and Animation, Canda has worked in the creative sector in South Africa since the early 2000s.

Realising the potential of the creative industries to create opportunities for youth and to contribute to a more diverse and inclusive society, Canda has worked with various industry bodies, events and government agencies in Africa and Europe to help develop the South African creative sector.

Initially, Canda did this work alongside her long career as a content producer where she has worked with some of SA’s best artists to produce award winning visual effects, games and animation and many firsts for South Africa.

With a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by businesses in the creative sector, Canda moved to Gauteng in 2021 to focus on industry development consulting.

Starting with a three year contract as a technical advisor in development co operation for the GIZ, she specialised in providing strategic advice and support to entrepreneurs and organisations looking to maximise their potential and achieve sustainable success.

Having recently established herself as an independent consultant, Canda has found her passion in industry development consulting with a focus on digital arts, fashion and music.
